The PYP Exhibition (PYPx) is a culminating, collaborative learning experience in the final year of the PYP. It provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge, concepts, approaches to learning skills, action, Learner Profile and attitudes that they have experienced across their years within the PYP curriculum framework.
Learning in the PYP has many different opportunities for students to demonstrate how they have developed and grown as learners. All three IB programmes include a culminating learning experience in the final year - the exhibition in PYP; the personal project in the Middle Years Programme (MYP); the extended essay in the Diploma Programme (DP).
During the PYPx, students share their understanding of an important topic or opportunity. Students work on their investigations both individually and with their peers. They also have a mentor assigned to provide guidance through their personal investigation. Throughout their PYPx journey, students demonstrate their ability to take responsibility for their learning and they become active participants in planning, presenting and assessing their learning.
