Welcome to the sixth (and final) 'Learning Lounge' newsletter which will focus on a nurture principle. The sixth principle is 'the importance of transitions in children's lives'.
The newsletter features 3 things you could read/watch, 2 strategies you could try and 1 reflective question you could consider.
3 things to read/watch
2 Strategies to Try
Movement and Music: As I mentioned before, transitions are a great opportunity to get your students up and moving – waking their brains up and giving them a good stretch. Instead of letting the movements get out of control, why not turn it into a little bit of fun?
Share and Reflect Sessions: At the end of activities, incorporate a brief share and reflect session where students have the opportunity to share their learning and reflect on their experiences. This not only provides closure to the activity but also encourages metacognition and self-assessment.
1 Question For You
"How do you manage your own transitions and stress, and how does that impact your ability to support students?"
