The challenge
This is a fun challenge around reading for pleasure - you don't need to read heaps of books, just enjoy the ones you do read!
It can be a book from home or a book from school.
It can be fiction or non-fiction.
It can be a graphic novel.
There is no minimum page or word count, shorter books count just as much as longer ones.
For every book you read and submit a 3-Word Review, you’ll climb 100 Reading Metres. We are using reading for pleasure to virtually bag ourselves a Munro. We have 4 Munros to climb this year: Mount Keen, Lochnagar, Cairn Toul and Ben Macdui.
Taking Part Couldn’t Be Easier

REMEMBER
100 metres for each book read + 3-Word Review submitted. 200 metres if you try a different genre + Book Review for our reading magazine Any questions, please see Mrs Anderson or the Library Ambassadors in the library.
the first four Munros
We chose to climb Munros as our challenge because Munros are uniquely Scottish, and this tied in with our recent Culture Day.
Munros are mountains in Scotland over 914 metres (3000ft) in height. There are 282 Munros, and they are named after Sir Hugh Munro who created the list.
Climbing to the summit of a Munro is called Munro-bagging. We will be attempting to do this virtually by earning Reading Metres for each book we read.
