Heathryburn School provides children with two years of pre-school education and seven years of primary education. We are a non-denominational school and support Aberdeen City Council’s Inclusion Policy. The school serves the catchment area to the north-west of Northfield.
The school was built in 2009 and is a single storey building of “semi-open plan” design. Within the building there is a nursery area with parents’ room, two teaching wings including a music room, SFL room, nurture room, library, large games hall, separate lunch area, meeting room and administration accommodation.
The school currently has a roll of 303 pupils in 13 classes and four nursery classes that cater for 80 pupils across morning and afternoon sessions. The school also has a a Targeted Support Team, who support pupils across the school.
We have a large area of outdoor provision including teaching areas and an all-weather pitch as well as ample space for the children to play. Please note that our playground is closed outside of school hours.
