The EAL team work in partnership with schools and early years settings to support language development and celebrate multi-culturalism across the City.
We are proud to have been supporting bi/multi-lingual learners and their families in Aberdeen City for over 50 years!
The EAL team are part of the ASN & Outreach Service and currently consist of a Depute Head Teacher, Principal Teacher (ESOL & Senior Phase EAL) and a core group of teachers and Bilingual Pupil Support Assistants (BPSAs) working in both Primary and Secondary schools.
Learning in 2+ Languages is the national policy document for all practitioners working with EAL learners. It is a comprehensive documents which outlines expectations for all educational settings and supports the development of best practice.
