S2 Art and Design

The S2 Art and Design Course builds upon the learning experience in S1. It enables pupils to develop the skills and competencies required for progression to the Art and Design senior phase.  The course is split into design and expressive units which is the structure mirrored throughout the National Qualifications. Critical study is integrated within the course to enrich contextual understanding and pupil experience.  Units covered are as follows: 

Expressive

• Scottish Landscape with organic form – Still life observational studies using mixed media. 

• Portraiture / Competition Opportunity – Mixed media/sculpture. 

Design 

• Peter Chang inspired jewellery design project.
