UW System Admission Opportunities
Direct Admit
Direct Admit Wisconsin is a program by the Universities of Wisconsin that offers admission to qualified Wisconsin high school students based on their academic data, bypassing the traditional application process. This initiative streamlines college entry by sending proactive offers to students (in August) before they have to apply, using their GPA and coursework provided by their high school.
AASD submits the 6th-semester transcript for evaluation for Direct admission in June.
Students are notified via student email about Direct Admit offeres.
Why do students need to complete an application if they have received a Wisconsin Guarantee offer?
While you will be guaranteed admission to a UW university, all applicants will receive a holistic review to properly evaluate students for admission to available direct-entry programs and scholarship consideration. (UW Madison: Students must apply by November 1.)
The ACT is changing to a shorter, more focused test with fewer questions and more time per question. The Science section is now optional, and the composite score will be based only on English, Math, and Reading. The Math section will have four answer choices instead of five, and reading passages will be shorter.
