Cohors Medicus the website

Hello, and welcome to this website here is a video to get you started!

Here is a script that we made to give you an idea of a few things. We also created this because YOU can make a performance about it!

For the script, we recommend you to use 2 to 5 people if you would like this to work. We recommend using 3 people, it would work the best and everyone would have an equal number of things to say. Just remember that you do not need to do all of the scenes. You can choose to do scene 1 and 3.

Scene 1:

Person 1: *Walk around the house then coughs on door handles and freezes

Narrator: *Walks and stands in front of Person 1.

Narrator: Almost all diseases spread by coughing and sneezing, but some diseases spread very quickly in an unusual way, for example by talking, touching something, going on the toilet seat while being infected.

Narrator: *Walks away.

Person 1: *Continues coughing on the handle

Person 2: *Runs and stands right beside Person 1.

Person 2: STOP!! Do NOT cough on things! Instead, use a chicken wing. Or elbow.

Person 1: *Imitates a chicken wing.

Person 1: Like this?

Person 2: Yes! Good job!

Person 1 and 2: *Freeze

Narrator: *Walks back in

Narrator: Bugs can infect people, when an infected person gets a shot and the same needle is used for a non infected person, animals can be infected and spread a disease to humans, water can contain a disease in it or even air can transmit a disease.

Narrator: *Walks away

Person 1 and 2: *Unfreeze and walk away.

Scene 2:

Narrator: *Walks in

Narrator: Staying safe is good for you, but staying really safe might lead to consequences. For example: If you stay at home and never go out, you would stay away from the coronavirus, but if you don't stand at your window, or open it, you would lose vitamin D!

Person 1: *Walks in with a lot of hand sanitizer food, masks, gloves.

Person 2: *Walks in

Person 2: Why do you need all this stuff? I think that you have to many thin..

Person 1: What are you doing! You should stay 6 feet away from me!

Person 1: *Sprays water at person 2

Person 2: Well... you are overprotective. You might even increase the chance of you dying! Or maybe other people.

Person 1 and 2: *Freeze

Narrator: *Walks in

Narrator: Now you might be wondering how can you increase the chance of your death and how does in kill other people? Well if you get a HUGE amount of things such as toilet paper, sanitizer, you would just keep them for later. Other people would need them, so if they run out of toilet paper, they would use something more riskier and you would just keep thing in your house! You also need Vitamin D.

Narrator: *Walks out

Person 1 and 2: *Unfreeze

Person 1: Hmm.... Maybe you are right, I do not need all of these things that i am holding. Would you like some?

Person 2: Sure, why not!

Person 1: *Gives some things that they are holding to person 2

Person 1 and 2: *Freeze

Narrator: So you do not need t be overprotective. You should not always get to much things because they might have an expiry date!

Person 1, 2, and Narrator: *All walk out.

Scene 3:

*Store man Jimmy putting closed sign on shop door*

*Karen comes to talk to Jimmy*

Karen: “Excuse me sir!. Sir!”

Jimmy: “What are you doing here? Didn’t you hear about quarantine?”

Karen: “I don’t care I want books!”

* Doctor with protection suit enters*

Doctor: “What are you 2 doing here”

Karen: “I want stuff!”

Doctor: “You know if you stay here you will be arrested or get sick.”

Karen: “What!”

Doctor: “If you stay home, you will protect yourself and others.”

Karen: “Why should I care, my kid wants books!”

Doctor: “Well if you stay here your child might also get sick and we don’t have a vaccine!”

Karen: “I'm anti-vaccine!”

Jimmy: “Excuse me I’m leaving.”

*Jimmy leaves*

Karen: “Im staying!”

2 WEEKS LATER IN HOSPITAL

*Karen surrounded by doctors on hospital bed*

Doctor: “Told you so”

Karen: “I… want… my… books… “

*Karen coughs*
