Welcome! We are your hosts, Vince & Isla. We've carefully curated this welcome book to answer any questions you may have during your stay as well as some helpful hints to make sure you have an enjoyable and memorable stay.

You'll find everything you need to know about our place and the surrounding area. From check-in/check-out time to the WiFi code. From great coffee to the best local restaurants. It's all here.

Our Philosophy

You want to have a wonderful stay and we want that for you too. This is your home for however long you are staying and we hope you'll be relaxed, comfortable and happy. We strive for 5-star service. If there is anything that is not up to your standards in terms of cleanliness, amenities, or anything else, please reach out and give us a chance to make things right. If you don’t tell us, we won’t know. We want to make your stay with us is an enjoyable one.

Don't forget to bring:

Here's a basic list of what you might want to bring on your vacation. You'll no doubt have your own needs, but we thought this might be helpful, knowing what we do about the amenities in this home!

Streaming Devices: Roku Stick, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Chromecast, Apple Tv, anything you use at home to stream TV. All of our TV's are "Smart" streaming TVs.

Please note we have provided dark colored towels for makeup removal. Please refrain from staining the white towels. There will be a service charge for any makeup stained towels.

Remember, the weather person is the only one who can be wrong and still keep their job. We like to say "there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing".

Street parking is available. A Tesla charger is also located on the side of the property.

ACCESS

Address: 831 31st Ave, Madrona

Approach the front door of the house, where you will find a smartlock to the right of the door.

Enter the provided code.

Keypad

When locking and unlocking the door, gently PULL the door towards you until the green checkmark on the key-pad flashes.

There is no standard "key" for the apartment - it's all managed by the unique 4 digit code entered into the keypad on the lock

To lock the door, press the "Lock" symbol at the bottom right of the keypad lock. You should hear the door lock & a green check-mark should appear..

Please do not share it with anyone.

Entry code and instructions

We will provide you with an access key code the afternoon prior to arrival. This will allow you to check yourself into the property. Please ensure you have the code before you travel. If not, please contact us. There's nothing worse than arriving somewhere new (potentially at night) and not being able to get in!

Hunter douglas blinds

Outdoor Side Lights

Please switch off the outdoor side lights when not in use, especially at night.

They can disturb our neighbors during sleeping hours.

LAUNDRY

There are a washer and dryer available in the unit for your use. They are located in the second floor, in front of the stairs. Laundry pods are available for your use. You may find them located on top of the units or under the kitchen sink.

Garbage

The trash bin is located on the left side of the house.

hEATING / Air conditioner

The unit has central heating and there are fans stored in the attic.

Streaming tv

The TV is a streaming TV. Please be sure to bring any streaming device for your ease of use (Roku Stick, Amazon TV Fire Stick, etc.) You may sign into any streaming channel of your choice by using your login credentials (e.g. Netflix, HBO GO, etc.) Be sure to sign out of your account upon departure.

Shiro's - Each chef at Shiros is a recognized as a sushi master in their own right with a deep understanding of “Edomae”, the sushi preparation method of original founder, Shiro Kashiba.

Shaker + Spear - is like eating inside a Crate & Barrel catalogue, aesthetically gorgeous with a touch of boujee. The food is phenom too!

Rocco’s - is a cozy pizzeria and bar known for its specialty pizzas made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Offering a casual yet vibrant atmosphere, they craft their dishes from scratch, including sauces, dough, and dressings, using organic and artisan products. It's a great spot for delicious food and drinks.

Fulcrum Café - One of Seattle’s most esteemed roasters is run by fifth-generation Costa Rican coffee farmer Blas Aflaro. Fulcrum’s Belltown cafe is modern and welcoming, and delivers on the high standards set for quality coffee.

Monorail Espresso - Credited with being the nation’s first espresso cart, Monorail Espresso should be on the radar for any Seattle coffee devotee. Safety Info and Rules

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.

Breakages

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to know prior to your departure to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

Smoking Policy

This is a smoke-free home, including the outside area surrounding property. No smoking of any substance including vaping.

- We have provided black washcloths for makeup removal to avoid stains our white towels, so please remember to use those.

- If anything breaks, spills, or stains, let us know as soon as possible. We'll take a look and help clean up. Upon assessment, guests may be responsible for damages.

- Checkout time is strictly enforced. If you would like an early check in or late check out, you must request it through the platform and it won’t always be possible.

-Please do not take any glass to the pool area, this is not allowed.

- No parties are allowed in this property (no exceptions).

- We'd appreciate it if you can take your shoes off when inside.

- No tampering or disabling of smoke detectors or smoking inside the home.

- Quiet hours go from 22:00 to 8:00 (10 pm - 8 am).

Check-in time is 3PM .

Early Check-in:

Request no later than 48 hours from check-in time. Availability to accommodate depends on our housekeepers schedule. Again, we cannot assure an early arrival until you receive confirmation from us.

PLANTS

If there are plants inside your unit, and you are staying longer than 5 days, we kindly ask you to water them a bit during your stay.

Departure information

Check-out Time

Check-out time is strictly 10am on.

Late Check-out: Request no later than 24 hours from check-out time. Availability to accommodate depends on our housekeeper's schedule. We will definitely do our best to accommodate your request!

Check-out Process

Before your departure, we would appreciate if you would take care of the following:

Leave the beds unmade. No need to strip them.
Place used towels on the floor in the bathroom.
Load the dishwasher and start it.
Move all furniture and items back to original locations.
Set thermostat to 78F.
Check all windows to be sure that they are locked.
If your unit had any kind of physical key, please leave the key inside the unit

wHAT TO DO IN AN EMEREGENCY

For emergency services (ambulance, police, fire) please immediately call 911. Do not delay if you feel an emergency situation has arisen. State your location as the address on the front page of this book.

In case of a fire

Exit the property as quickly as possible
Ensure that all persons are accounted for
Dial 911
State your location

Do not attempt to re-enter the building until a Fire Officer states that it is safe to do so.
