Desk Stretches

As we continue working from home, I want to remind parents and students to take regular movement breaks throughout the day. This week, I am sharing a poster of exercises that can be completed at your desk between tasks. You can choose to do a couple or make it a goal to check off each one throughout the day.

Letter Case Matching

Help your child identify and match capital and lowercase letters.

Play Doh Letters

Use play doh to learn about big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves and how they can make letters.

Teaching Scissor Skills

Learn how to correctly hold scissors and use both hands together to cut smooth lines.

Cutting Practice- If you can't print, use a marker to draw wavy or curved lines, or cut pictures out of a magazine.

Making Paper Flowers

Make paper flowers with tape and a pipe cleaner or pencil.

Paper Plate Marble Maze

Use materials from around your home to build a maze for a bead or marble.

Sensory break options for home

Here are some movement activities to keep kids focused and ready to learn.

Bead Transfer for In-Hand Manipulation

This is a great activity to do with a parent or sibling. Try to beat your score!
