Design & Modeling

Students learn about and apply the design process to solve problems and understand the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. They work in teams to design an Ankle-Foot Orthosis for a child who has cerebral palsy. Students work with other peers to provide innovation with 3D printing. It supports collaboration, free and critical thinking, hands-on projects with state-of-the-art tools to support them. This course, designed for 6th graders, introduces the basics of Engineering, including sketching, mechanical dissection, and algorithmic thinking.
