About the JCPP

Welcome to the Think tank.

The Jenkins Center for Public Policy (JCPP) was named by students in honor of Patricia Jenkins, founder of the CMPP magnet program at Skyline High School. Her vision created a truly exceptional educational experience for students unlike any other high school program in the nation.

CMPP students lead the Jenkins Center for Public Policy, a nonpartisan research and educational think tank dedicated to advancing the common good for all Michigan residents by analyzing sound solutions to local, county, and state public policy problems. Services provided by the JCPP include research and policy analysis, policy briefs, infographics, digital shorts, background papers, and presentations to local government.

In 2018, Patricia Jenkins was nominated by the entire CMPP Senior class and was named the Washtenaw County Distinguished Teacher of the Year.
