This year your work takes center stage. The call for proposals invites you to share what works for you, your students, your department, your school, and your professional world. We welcome proposals on tried-and-true strategies, innovations, new questions, and glimmers of hope.
For your convenience, you can present in-person at the Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, June 10-12, 2026 -or- at the Virtual Conference, for which the dates will be announced shortly.
Some ideas you might consider:
Connect ePortfolios to career competencies
Explore innovative reflective activities tailored to a variety of learning contexts
Discuss the integration of folio thinking into curriculum design and assessment
Present case studies or research on the impact ePortfolio practice
Identify important frameworks, categories, or contexts for ePortfolio development and expansion
Share data on student ePortfolios in conversational with successes and/or institutional change
Engage generative AI and ePortfolios
Identify the ways that ePortfolios and refection can foster awareness of personal skills and growth, conversations across communities, dialogue across disciplines/professions, and spark intellectual curiosity
Share successes/challenges with professional development and faculty/student buy-in
Present ePortfolio initiatives relate to curricular, co-curricular and professional programming, e.g. Honors programming, trends in professional ePortfolios, ePortfolios for Study Abroad, ePortfolios in academic advising
The formats specify whether they are available for the in-person or the virtual event:
Digital poster of proposed or evolving work from the last 12 months (in-person and virtual)
20x20 presentation - 20 slides with 20 seconds for each (virtual)
20-minute presentation as part of a panel (in-person and virtual)
55-minute session with interactive, workshop-like components (in-person and virtual)
55-minute conversation that fosters structured engagement and open-dialogue (in-person and virtual)
110-minute workshop that provides content, workshop, and peer engagement (in-person)
We encourage you to think beyond traditional conference formats and to imagine ways to engage the community. Pitch it. We're game.
This year, we offer consultation sessions for AAEEBL members. If you register/pay to attend 2026 AAEEBL in Indy, your membership is included. If you register/pay for the 2026 AAEEBL Virtual Conference, your AAEEBL membership is included in the fees.
The in-person consultation sessions will be hosted Wednesday morning, June 10 from 9:00-Noon. The consultations are 90-minute sessions; you will be paired with an AAEEBL affiliate who has expertise related to your question or challenge. If you are interested in having a one-on-one ePortfolio consultation, make sure to select it in the Call for Proposals.
The deadline for proposal submissions is April 12, 2026. We look forward to reviewing your session ideas.
