FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) courses prepare students for life skills. Courses are part of the elective offerings and are open to all. 💡

FACS courses consist of Child Development, Nutrition and Turn Wage$ into Wealth. These elective courses give students the opportunity to expand their real-world skillset and gain the tools to live as an adult.

Child Development

Learn about the growth and development of young children and build a base of knowledge that can be applied toward further education and a career in the expanding child care industry. Courses include Child Development 1-3, Introduction to Teaching and Early Childhood Internship.

Study the art and science of Nutrition while learning cooking techniques and the role of food in life and its effect on human psychology and sociology. Courses include Nutrition A and Nutrition B.
