Secondary Application Process

🔴  The applicant must be a current AACPS conditional teacher in AACPS to apply to the RT      Program.

🔴  Applicant must a current AACPS conditional teacher for one of the 14 Secondary content areas      listed.

      English 7-12  ◾  Biology  ◾  Social Studies 7-12 ◾  WCL French  ◾  Middle School: English Language Arts 4-9                               Chemistry 7-12 ◾  Family Consumer Science  7-12  ◾  WCL French or Spanish PreK-12  ◾  High School Math                                                   Physics 7-12  ◾ Technology Education 7-12  ◾  Computer Science 7-12    ◾   Middle School Math 6-8       

◾   Middle School Science 4-9

🔴   Resident Teacher candidates must meet one of the following MSDE requirements prior to starting       the RT program:

          🔴  Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the post-secondary level

                                                                     OR

      🔴  Provide a passing score report from one of these assessments: Praxis Core, SAT, ACT, or   

           GRE

⭐Candidates MAY NOT  begin the program unless these requirements are fulfilled⭐
