Hi, my name is Mrs. Spain, and I am one of the counselors at Hilltop Elementary School. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bowie State University .

Before becoming a school counselor, I was a classroom teacher. I taught 4th and 5th grade for six years and achieved National Board Certified teacher status in 2004. I went to Loyola College and received a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. In 2005 I became a school counselor at Hilltop.   In 2018, I received an  Administration I certification from McDaniel College.   In 2019, I was named Maryland Elementary School Counselor of the Year.  I will be working with 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade.

Hola, me llamo Señora Spain y yo soy una de las consejeras escolares en Primaria Hilltop. Yo recibí mi bachillerato en educación primaria desde la Universidad de Bowie State. 

Antes de ser consejera escolar, yo fui una maestra. Yo enseñé el cuarto y el quinto grado por seis años y yo logré al maestro certificado por la mesa directiva nacional en 2004. Yo asistí al Colegio Loyola y recibí un máster de Consejería Escolar. En 2005, yo empecé a trabajar como consejera escolar en Primaria Hilltop.  En 2019 fui nombrado Consejero del año de Maryland Elementary School. Yo trabajo con 1st, 3rd, y 5th.

Hello, my name is Ms. Blaylock and I am one of the counselors at Hilltop Elementary. I have been in education for 13 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University - Commerce with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood - 4th Grade Education. I taught in Texas for eight years before moving to Maryland. I have been a teacher in Anne Arundel County for the last five years. I have taught kindergarten, first, fourth, and fifth grades, as well as being a student instructional support teacher. In 2010, I graduated from American College of Education with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Most recently, I graduated with a Master's degree in School Counseling from Loyola University. I will be working with grades kindergarten, second, and fourth grade.

Yo gradué de Loyola University donde yo recibí un máster de ciencia de consejería en Mayo de 2020. Yo empecé a trabajar como consejera escolar el otoño de 2020 por Primaria Hilltop. Yo trabajo con K, 2nd, 4th.
