AACPS CELL PHONE POLICY
Students will be able to use their phones before the first period starts after the fourth period ends, and during lunchtime, which includes Gopher Block. However, phones must be silent and out of sight at all other times. Staff will review these guidelines with students and discuss potential opportunities to utilize cell phones, with permission, to complete certain academic tasks.
Unless otherwise communicated by the teacher, students who violate the above expectation will be subject to progressive discipline and device confiscation.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to call the main office to speak to their student regarding an urgent matter and refrain from texting their student as much as possible during the school day.
Importance of Attendance!
NEW ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Students who are absent for more than nine days in a semester may be denied credit. The Principal and the Attendance Review Committee will review the cases and decide.
