Advocacy Goals:

• Educate staff on the library’s digital tools and accessible materials

• Promote the librarian’s role as an instructional leader and co-teacher

• Build consistent collaboration routines across grade levels

Why it Matters:

When teachers and staff are aware of what the library offers, students benefit from richer, more accessible learning experiences. If the library is seen only as a physical space and not as a dynamic program, students miss out on tools, support, and co-teaching that can boost their success. 

What We’re Working Toward:

• Teachers regularly co-teach and plan with the librarian

• Students independently access adapted tools and digital resources

• Admin and staff view the library as an instructional partner, not just a space

Reflecting on Impact

This advocacy plan grew out of real conversations with administrators and staff. It’s ongoing work but each step brings the library closer to being a central, visible part of student success.
