During this time of heavy technology use, playing an instrument will provide an alternative to screen time.
Instrument playing increases coordination.
Playing an instrument can be a fun and independent activity to help keep anyone occupied.
Music making with others in the same household who play instruments can be a fun way to spend time and build family relationships.
Musicians are exposed to a whole new community of friends with a shared interest.
Music also has a profound effect on the academic success of students. A variety of research shows that music students are among the strongest of students academically in their schools.

We are lucky to have many vendors in Anne Arundel County who can supply you with an instrument and all necessary accessories! Click a button below for more information about rental or purchase costs from each music store. If you have a question about purchasing an appropriate instrument, feel free to reach out to your child's future teacher using the contact information above! A limited supply of instruments are available from the school at no cost for families who are financially unable to provide their own. School instruments are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are unable to supply your own instrument and must request a school instrument, please choose this option on the registration form above and contact your student's teacher!
