Belvedere Elementary

Belvedere will be hosting a variety of opportunities to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle after school.

Families are invited to come to school between 5pm-7pm to participate in these activities.

Please see a list of activities below.

Scholastic Book Fair

Come purchase books from the Book Fair located in the Media Center from 5pm-7pm.  The first 100 customers will receive a free Scholastic tote.  Students will be visiting the book fair during their regular Media classes all week.

Send in your old crayons to recycle! Crayons are petroleum products that take many years to biodegrade. The National Crayon Recycle Program recycles unwanted, rejected, broken crayons into new crayons, keeping thousands of pounds out of landfills and back into the creative hands of children!

Got old tennis shoes? Send in your old tennis-like shoes to recycle. Thanks to Charm City Run for helping us with this effort.

BOOK SWAP

Bring in one or two books that you have already read and swap them for other used books.  There will be a variety of books for all ages.

PAPER SHREDDING

Bring up to 2 bags of paper to be shredded for free!

Brought to you by

LEGO REPLAY

Do you have any old Legos and don’t know what to do with them? Send them in to school and we will send them to LEGO® Replay. LEGO® Replay is helping fans donate bricks to kids in need.

Recycle Solar Eclipse Glasses

Bring in your solar eclipse glasses and we will get them to school kids in Latin America to experience the South American Eclipse in October.

BELVEDERE WEAR SWAP

Have you outgrown your Belvedere tshirts or sweatshirts?  Bring them in and swap them for a different size or donate them for another student to use.

FOOD TRUCK

Enjoy some coffee & dessert with your Belvedere friends at the picnic tables or pick up something to go!
