Zebras are mammals known for their black and white stripes. They belong to the horse family of animals. Most famously, zebras have black and white stripes. They have a pony-like body form. The rump, or tail end, of their bodies is broader. Since they are herbivores, they can only consume plants. For example, zebras graze mostly on grass, although they will also consume stems, leaves, and bark in the absence of grass. Baby zebras are called foals. Appearance Size They have a shoulder height of 5 feet 1 to 1 meter, and a maximum length of 7 feet 2 meters.
