Orangutans are native to the lush rainforests of Southeast Asia, including the islands of Borneo and Sumatra. These rainforests provide the perfect habitat for orangutans, with their dense vegetation, towering trees, and abundant food sources. Orangutans spend most of their lives in the trees, building nests to sleep in and foraging for fruits, leaves, bark, and insects. The rainforest canopy protects them from predators and allows them to move freely through their environment. Unfortunately, due to deforestation and habitat loss, orangutans face significant challenges in maintaining their natural habitat.Â
