I'm so excited to be directing one of my all-time favorite shows! Please carefully read ALL the information provided. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me or any of the faculty listed below.

Word of Advice -

Do your homework! Research the show! Know what the premise of Urinetown the Musical is about. Have an idea of what roles you would like to be considered for. Practice, practice, PRACTICE your music for the audition. Be prepared and ready. You will be considered for the musical BASED ON YOUR AUDITION!

Vocal Auditions from 3:45 - 5:45

Friday, October 31:

Callbacks for Select Actors @ 3:45 -5:45

REHEARSALS

Begin Tuesday, January 6th, 2026,

Monday through Friday from 3:45-5:45 pm.

(Not always, but potentially) Saturday am Dance Rehearsals

8:30 - 11:00 am.

You may not be called every day, but you must be available to be in a scene.

TECH WEEK:

Rehearsal Times are EXTENDED to 7:30pm during Tech Week.

Once the audition process is complete on Thursday, October 30, a callback for a second, more focused audition for further consideration for roles will be held on Friday, October 31, @ 3:45 in the Simms Auditorium. You will be notified on Thursday evening whether you should attend or not. If you are not called back on Friday, YOU ARE STILL BEING CONSIDERED FOR THE SHOW!

Your Checklist Before the Audition...

Sign up for a 5-minute time slot for your VOCAL AUDITION. You only choose ONE SLOT - either Wednesday 10/29 or Thursday 10/30 for your vocal audition.

Select one of the AUDITION SONGS for your vocal audition. This will be the song you will sing for the director and musical director. Practice, Practice, PRACTICE!

Fill out the AUDITION FORM before the DANCE AUDITION on Tuesday, October 28.

Attend the DANCE AUDITION on Tuesday, October 28. Be sure you have the appropriate movement clothing and shoes or socks for your audition. YOU MUST ATTEND THE DANCE AUDITION to be considered for the musical.

Attend your VOCAL AUDITION on either Wednesday, 10/29, or Thursday, 10/30. Come early for your slot, so that you are present and on time for your audition. When it is your turn, you will come into the room, say hello, introduce yourself and sing your song. Only teachers will be in the room. YOU MUST ATTEND A VOCAL AUDITION to be considered for the musical

You will receive an email in the late evening of Thursday, October 30, notifying you of Callbacks (Friday, 10/31). IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A CALLBACK, IT DOES NOT INDICATE YOU HAVE BEEN CUT AND ARE NOT BEING CONSIDERED FOR THE SHOW!

A cast list will be posted and emailed after auditions, most likely that weekend, either November 1st or 2nd.
