We encourage all of our teachers, students, and parents to make their voices heard to impact positive change within our District.
Zion Elementary District #6 will join the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) in the statewide survey of school climate and learning conditions. The survey provides a unique opportunity for teachers, students (grades 4-8), and parents to have a voice in improving their schools.
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey provides a comprehensive picture of a school’s organizational culture in an individualized report measuring five “essentials” critical for school success:
Effective Leaders
Collaborative Teachers
Involved Families
Supportive Environment
Ambitious Instruction
Teachers, students, and parents will be asked to take a 20-minute research-based survey to help identify strengths and weaknesses in their school’s learning environment. This survey will serve as an opportunity for schools to reflect on progress since the last statewide implementation.
All responses are completely anonymous.
Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent.
Your participation is voluntary.
You may elect not to respond to individual questions and may discontinue participation at any time.
If you have more than (1) child and they attend different schools, you may elect to complete the survey for each school. When you take this survey, please respond about the school you have selected.
