who qualifies for benefits?

  • All certified employees working in a certified positions

  • Support employees who work in a position (or multiple positions that equal) 6 hours per day, 172 days, or minimum of 1032 hours per year

  • Support employees who work 4 hours per day or 20 hours per week may elect some insurance/benefits

types of Leave available:

Employees beginning employment during the middle of the year will have pro-rated leave benefits. Employees who work 4-6 hours per day will accumulate .5 leave.
  • Sick Leave - 1 day earned for each full month worked

  • Personal - 3 days (unused personal days will roll into sick leave at the end of the school year)

  • Annual - 3 days (Employee cost: certified $70/day, support .5 daily rate)

  • Bereavement - 5 days

  • Vacation - Pertains to 237, 238, 251, and 252 day contracted personnel only
