Andrew Pickering

Welcome to my website.

I am a professor of economics at the University of York, acting as deputy head of department (teaching) from 2021-2025. I previously worked at the University of Bristol following my PhD taken at the University of Exeter.

My research is predominantly in the broad field of quantitative political economics. I established and led the research cluster in political economy in the department of economics for several years. I am currently managing editor and editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of Economic Research. 

Outside of academia I am a trustee for the Yorkshire Learning Trust.
