Important Information for the Senior Class

Remind is an app we use to communicate information to members of the senior class.  All seniors should subscribe to the class Remind so that they do not miss important deadlines or events.  Parents are encouraged to sign up as well.

There are three ways to receive Remind notifications:

• Push Notifications:   On iPhone or Android open your web browser and go to this link: rmd.at/24falcons 

• Text Messages:   Text @24falcons to 81010 or (252) 558-0171.  Be sure to reply to the Welcome Message with your name as is appears in Powerschool.

• Email:     Go to rmd.at/24falcons on a PC, laptop, or Chromebook to sign up for email notifications.

Friday, September 1:  Class Photo on the Football Field

• High Resolution 5 x 10 prints of photo will be available for $10.00.  

• Order envelopes will be available in the main office and may be returned to Mr. Williams or Coach Hutchens.

Tuesday, October 24:   Senior meeting with Josten's Representative

• Meeting will begin about 10:15 and last approximately 30 minutes.

• Information about ordering graduation supplies and individual cap and gown photos.

• All seniors should plan to attend this meeting.

• Parents should ask for packets that senior receive at meeting.

Friday, November 3: Cap & Photos for Yearbook / Jostens Order and first payment due.

• All members of the senior class will be photographed in a cap and gown.  Students at SCC and Interns should plan to attend.  This photo will be used in the Yearbook.

  • • • • Gentlemen wear white shirt and tie or plain white t-shirt.

        • Ladies may wear plain t-shirt.

        • Pants/Shoes will not show in this photo.

        • Cap and Gown provided for photo.

        • Caps are NOT worn in photo, they are held so that hair may be styled.

All members of the senior class must turn in a cap and gown order 

to be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Commencement Dress Requirements

  To complement the gown, each female graduate must wear the following:

• A dress that does not show below the hem or above the neck of the graduation gown.

• A pair of shoes with flat or low heel. 

To complement the gown, each male graduate must wear the following:

• A solid, white dress shirt, either long or short sleeves.

•  A long tie. No Bow Tie

• A pair of dress pants – black or navy in color. No khaki or tan. 

• A pair of dress shoes; black shoes are preferred, clean cowboy boots are acceptable.  

*No decoration of any kind may applied to the cap*

*Gown must remain completely zipped during the ceremony*

*No regalia may be worn that is not provided by Forbush High School*

If you need help obtaining clothes, please do not hesitate to see Mr. Hauser, Mr. Hutchens, Mr. Davis or Mrs. Sloan privately for assistance.

Commencement Photography

The Ceremony will professionally photographed by Kenny Davis. .  A link to purchase photos after the event will be provided in the Commencement Program.

Commencement Streaming

The Ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube for guests not able to attend in person. The video will be archived on YouTube so that you may watch later. A link to the stream will be sent out via Remind prior to the Ceremony.
