Concert Attendance Policy:
Concert attendance is required. Every student is important to the orchestra performance. Notify Mrs. O’Neill via parent/guardian correspondence at least 3 weeks prior if unable to participate in the performance with an excused absence. Students with up to one excused absence will have an alternative assignment. Students with an unexcused absence will earn a zero. All students will remain the entire performance.
Concert uniform will be concert black - all black. Cello and bass students may choose to wear ankle length skirts or pants; violin and viola students may choose to wear knee length skirts or pants. No shorts, jeans, or athletic pants/leggings. All outfits must be appropriate as determined by school policy.
The following are the 2026-2027 scheduled, required concert dates for Orchestra.
Concert Dates 5th and 6th Grades
Nov 10 - 5th-8th grade concert, 7 PM, MS Aud
Feb 2 - 6th-8th grade Solo Festival, individual times, 4-7 PM
Apr 6 - 5th-6th grade concert and 4th grade registration, 7 PM, MS Aud
May 4 - 5th-12th grade concert, 5:30 PM, MS Aud
Concert Dates 7th and 8th Grade
Oct 15 - 7th-12th grade concert, 7 PM, MS Aud
Nov 10 - 5th-8th grade concert, 7 PM, MS Aud
Feb 2 - 6th-8th grade Solo Festival, individual times, 4-7 PM
Feb 16 - 7th-12th grade concert, 7 PM, MS Aud
March 31, April 1 & 2 - Variety Shows. Times TBD, MS Aud
May 4 - 5th-12th grade concert, 5:30 PM, MS Aud
