Who is Mrs. Steele?

Welcome to Team 7-3 Social Studies!  There's lots to do and lots of really interesting stuff to learn this year.  To start off, here's a little bit about myself.  

• I grew up in New York and graduated in 2001 from Elmira College.  

• I moved to Massachusetts in the fall of 2004 where I began teaching in Springfield Public Schools.  In 2007, I joined the West Springfield family and have been here ever since!  Prior to this year I taught 6th grade.

• My husband teaches 6th grade Math at Birchland Park Middle School in East Longmeadow.

• I have two children - twins...Bennett and Clara.  They are in 7th grade this year.

• I have two crazy dogs - Patton (a chocolate lab) and Mac (a French bulldog)

• I love spending time at the Cape over the summer and love going to sporting events that my kids are involved in.  Bennett plays soccer, basketball and baseball.  Clara plays field hockey, basketball, softball and dance!  She also swims for the Falcons Swim Team in Wilbraham.  Maybe I'll see you on the field!!

• Finally - I love to travel!
