We all have multiple intelligences, that allow us to do wonderful things!
One of my teaching mentors, Mr. Leochko, shared this with me. It is important to understand that everyone has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, and that strengths can be celebrated, and weaknesses improved. See below:
You already have all eight kinds of smart. You’re not just one type of smart. You’re smart in all of the ways. It may not mean you’re great at everything (no one’s that good) but you do have some ability in each area.
Other things to know about multiple intelligences
All of the intelligences are different but they’re also equal. No intelligence is better or more important than another.
No matter what kind of ability you have in a given intelligence, you can explore, grow, and develop it. Whether you have trouble spelling “dictionary” or you’re a future best-selling author you can become more word smart. That’s just one example, but you get the idea.
You may know what you’re best at, but that doesn’t mean you’re limited to one intelligence. Maybe you’re body smart – congratulations! But don’t let that keep you from the joys of reading just because it uses another kind of smart. (word smart)
