Hi everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone and let you know how much I enjoy what I do. I have been teaching in the Worth County School District about 2005 as a substitute teacher. When my daughter was 4, we started her in day care so I could get a job. She had a very hard time adjusting to the new environment. I was fortunate enough to get a position where she was as a 2 year old teacher. I fell in love with working with the kids, and began the process of getting my teaching degree. It took a number of years to accomplish this goal. I have since obtained my Master's and Specialist degrees. I love what I do!

I grew up traveling all over the East Coast, because my dad was in the Navy. We settled in Albany when my dad retired from the Navy and started working at Miller Brewery in Albany. I graduated from Westover High School in 1982 and attended Darton. I completed a year of college and then started working full time at Bojangles. The company moved me to Atlanta to work as a restaurant manager. I worked there for several years before being transferred to Charlotte, NC where I met my husband. All three of my children were born in Charlotte. My family moved to Sylvester in 2001. I have held many different positions in the "real world" - waitress at Red Lobster, Burger King employee (all positions), shoe salesperson, general office work, florist, customer service, janitorial services, and teacher.
