School camp is not a place to fear
It’s only what’s in your mind that you hear
There are lots of things that you’ll enjoy
You can also bring your favourite toy
When you go to sleep at night
Some animal sounds may give you a fright
But don’t worry they can’t bite
If you get scared you can turn on the light
Camp staff are nice not mean
They keep the place shiny and clean
The food is tasty and it’s great
There’s nothing there that you will hate
On camp you get to stay with your friends
There are activities and games, the fun never ends
At times you might miss your home
You’ll forget about it if you remember this poem
In my cozy tent I sleep,
With the wilderness around my crib.
Morning came rise and shine,
Another day of fun and pride.
With my friends we walked,
across mountains and tops.
We came back tired and sore,
But it was worth more than moan.
As the darkness fall upon us,
the campfire slowly grows.
Lighten up our hearts and souls,
As it die we sit and cook.
In our number three we wear,
and not much badges sew properly.
It’s time for us to say fair,
for tomorrow we will remember.
(by Christopher Chan, PL Eagles)
We sat around the campfire
On a chilly night
Telling spooky stories
In the pale moonlight
Then we added some more logs,
To make the fire bright,
And sang some favorite camp songs
Together with all our might.
And when the fire flickered
and embers began to form.
We snuggled in our sleeping bags
all cozy, tired, and warm.

Sticks and sleeping bags and ants
Dirty hands and grass-stained pants
Gathering wood and piling up leaves
Carrying toilet paper and finding a tree
Sitting by a fire and dodging the sparks
There's nothing greater than
The great outdoors after dark.
