Dojo

•Dojo is the app I will use to communicate with you.  It is a wonderful program that works just like texting. 

•If you have an email or phone number on file with the school, you probably have already gotten an invite from me to sign up. If you have not signed up, please do so as soon as possible.

•I ask ALL PARENTS to sign up.  This will be the way I send all reminders for special things coming up.

•I can send group messages or private ones.  If you reply to my group message, only I can see your reply. This is a great way to get ahold of me after hours if there is something that needs immediate attention.

•You will see there is an area on Dojo where your student may earn points or loose them, based on behavior through the day.  It is not my intent this year to use the program for this.  We work very hard building a classroom community and will focus more on problem solving than negative consequences.  Now, there are instances where a consequence is necessary. If that need arises, I’ll communicate that information with you.
