• FAS1910: FAS PROJECT A, Level: Introductory, Prerequisite: None

1. Select a Pattern/Make a Proposal and discuss it with the teacher.

2. Students must supply materials needed if they are not available in the classroom resources.

3. The project MUST take at LEAST 6  classes.

4. The project MUST be complete to get a mark.  Partially completed projects will not be  graded.

These are intermediate and advanced modules.  

Your quality of work must reflect the higher level.

FAS2120:  Surface Embellishments

You need to complete:

• Hand Stitching Basics - a refresher on hand sewing.  1 class maximum.

• FAS2120:  Surface Embellishment - Module Theory Assignment

• Choose one of the following:

  • Slow Stitch Landscape - Examples and Instructions  - Slide 16 gives the details needed for the intermediate/advanced modules.   (Rubric) 

  • Fabric/Denim Scrap Bag Project - Slides 10-11 give the details needed,    Rubric 

  • Hand Puppet Rubric - one hand puppet with a minimum of 4 embellishment techniques.

  • Finger Puppet - 3 finger puppets with a minimum of 4 embellishment techniques (not including sewing together)

  • Project of your choice - discuss with Mrs. Johnson
