Wells High School Mission Statement
"Our mission is to empower all students through individualized instruction
to become literate critical thinkers
and problem solvers committed to civic engagement".
Welcome!!!
I am a 9-12 Special Education Case Manager and Teacher. This is my fourth year at WHS and I am excited to be a part of the WHS community; I look forward to an exciting and rewarding year with my students and their families. Prior to working at WHS, I worked as a Special Education Case Manager and teacher at Noble High School in North Berwick, ME. Prior to working at Noble, I was a English and Literacy teacher at Landmark School, a private boarding school in Massachusetts for students with language-based learning disabilities. I live in North Berwick with my husband (also a member of the WHS family, teaching PreCalculus, AP Calculus, Alt. Math and Guitar Building!) and our three young daughters. While the girls keep us busy, we also have a small menagerie of pets: a bunny, a guinea pig, rats (pet ones!), a cat and chickens! In the spring, we hope to add a few new members to our growing family farm - a donkey, dairy goats and Indian Pencil Runner ducks (they are hilarious!!!). Along with spending time with my family and our pets, I enjoy running, being outdoors, reading, singing in a community chorus, all types of music, and writing. I am also a clinical herbalist and Reiki practioner, and make homemade soaps, salves and other natural wellness products.
I will be doing my best to post important links and information throughout the year that might be useful to students, parents and the community. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time. I can be reached via email or by phone and will respond as soon as possible.
I believe that every student can find success, and I will do my best to support and guide them to highlight strengths and to support weaknesses. Once students understand themselves as individuals and learners, they can transform many weaknesses into strengths, as well.
Let's have a fantastic year!
