Instruction

Our mission: "The Wells-Ogunquit C.S.D. commits to ensuring that each scholar develops the social, academic, critical and creative thinking skills necessary to meet with success in college, career, citizenship and life. The responsibility for education is shared by student, family, school, and community."

Effective instruction is the key to making sure this happens. We use research based instructional practices that are developmentally appropriate for each level. We differentiate by tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. We also value a strong home/school partnership and support parents as a child's primary teacher and to help find balance within the family between academic achievement and character development.

WOCD has adopted the Danielson Framework for Teaching. It is a researched based set of components of instruction. For more information please visit our instruction website.

Performance Evaluation and Professional Growth System was developed and approved by the School Committee. Both handbooks can be found below.
