Application

In addition to your WMU Application, there is a separate Music Application form to request an audition and/or interview date and provide detailed information about your intended program of study. Prospective undergraduates must attend a New Student Admissions Day (NSAD) for an audition and/or interview to ensure entrance and scholarship consideration. This is an all-day event, so please check your personal calendar carefully to ensure you do not have any conflicts (e.g., school activity, solo/ensemble competition, etc.) when choosing a NSAD date: November 5, January 22, February 4, February 18 and Feb 25 (for 2021-22). Although it is preferable to attend campus in person, the Feb.25 NSAD will be held online .

To apply for an NSAD date, you must complete this additional WMU Music Application.

No changes will be made within seven days before a given NSAD date. For cancellations, a partial refund is available only for those received at least one week prior to your scheduled NSAD date.

Please note that this Music Application is required in addition to your overall WMU application (wmich.edu/apply). If you have already qualified for a need-based application fee waiver from Western Michigan University, please contact music-ugrd@wmich.edu to obtain a similar waiver for this Music application fee.
