Transportation Matters!

Due Date: Thursday, May 16th

Directions:  

        For this project you will pick one type of transportation that is used.  You may choose any type of land, water, or air transportation. Once you have picked your transportation, you will research it, write a paper, and make a model of your transportation.

Paper:

Your paper needs to be one full typed page and have four paragraphs. You are required to use AT LEAST one book source.

Paragraph 1- Describe your transportation 

·      You may pick a specific model; for example if you chose cars, you may pick a specific model of car like a Ford Explorer.

·       What is the top speed, and how many people can it hold?

·       What does it travel on, and what shape is it? Describe its appearance!

Paragraph 2 - Forces

·       What forces are acting with your transportation?

·       What forces are acting against it?

·       What type of fuel does it use, and what propels it?

Paragraph 3 - Pros and Cons

·       What are the pros or positives of your transportation?

·       What are the cons or negatives of your transportation?

Paragraph 4 - Fun Facts

·       What are some interesting facts you found about your transportation?

Model:

You will make a model of your transportation.  It should be homemade.  You can use construction paper, popsicle sticks, papier-mâché, food, etc. Do not use materials such as Legos, toys, or model kits. You don’t need to spend ANY money on this!
