Indiana Show and Tell
In Social Studies this year we will be studying Indiana history. In order to kick the year off, you will bring five objects in a bag (of any size) that have something to do with our state. You will be getting all of your objects back after the project is graded. Do not feel the need to go out and buy all five objects. There will be a short presentation of your objects in class, but you do not need to write a report of any kind; you will only bring in your items. Some ideas include:
· Items relating to the state bird, tree, flower, insect, flag, seal, song, or dessert
· An object pertaining to a famous Hoosier
· Foods that are grown/raised in Indiana or animals that inhabit our state
· Souvenirs from Indiana cities, universities, landmarks, or events, both current or historical
· Anything with Indiana on it, such as currency, license plates, or stamps
This project will be due on Friday, August 21st. Be creative and original!
