The 2026 Netball Season is nearly here. When you decide to register your child for any of the school teams, please consider this first;
Do they want to play? It is a commitment.
Do they have after school commitments that would conflict with playing?
Do they already play sport on a Friday or Saturday?
Year 5-6 Netball
The season is 10 weeks
Days: Saturdays
Season Starts: Saturday 2nd May
Season Ends: Saturday 1st August (plus Festival Day Sunday 9th August)
Game Times: times vary between morning and early afternoon (coaches will notify)
Venue: Lansdowne Sports Hub
Practice: TBC by team coaches
Cost: $55 per player paid before your child is put in a team
COACHING
NO Coach means NO Team.
Game Information
Game: 4 x 10 minute quarters
Players: 6 aside - no WD
Umpires Provided
Uniform: Witherlea dress provided, need own appropriate footwear
Year 3-4 Netball
The Season is 10 Weeks
Days: Fridays
Season Starts: Friday 1st May
Season Ends: Friday 31st July (and Festival Day Sunday 9th August)
Game Times: 4pm-5pm approx
Venue: Lansdowne Sports Hub
Practice: no practice for this age group
Cost: $40 per player paid before your child is put in a team.
COACHING
NO 'Helper' means NO Team.
Game Information
Start: 20 min skill session
Game: 2 x 8 minute halves
Players: 5 per team - rolling subs
No umpires
Uniform: wear own Witherlea school uniform and appropriate footwear
Year 2 Netball

Once fees are paid, your child will then be put in a team as long as we have enough 'Helpers' and Coaches.

CONDUCT AND FAIRPLAY
All parents, coaches and spectators have a Witherlea Code of Conduct to follow. All children have a Fairplay Code. It is SO important that children understand their commitment to the team and RESPECT for themselves, their coach and the opposition. Help us promote this by reading and following the school guidelines.
