Student Services at UW-Madison

For immediate mental health crisis support at the university, please call (608) 265-5600 (24 hours,
Option 9).  University Health Services (UHS) Counseling Services are located on the 7th floor of the
"Lucky Building" (333 East Campus Mall), where a consultation can occur right away without a wait.  

Umatter is a mental health support initiative at UW-Madison, providing information on free campus
resources, mental health services, and how to support fellow community members in areas like
suicide prevention.

During business hours, students can also contact the Dean on Call at the Office of Student Life at
(608) 263-5700 for advocacy and assistance. 


Academic Support for Students

The Writing Center at UW-Madison offers assistance with writing and composition.

Guidelines and policies on academic integrity at UW-Madison are available here.  If you
have a question on proper use or citation of sources in your academic work, please never
hesitate just to ask.
