Summer Running Information
Summer Training
Our regular summer training begins after the Winona Area Running Camp. Starting on June 19th members of the team will be getting together with coaches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the high school at 8:00 AM to run until the season starts. New runners or people wanting to give it a try are always welcome and encouraged to attend these events. Runners have historically met together on their own on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends to run in the summer as well. For a copy of the full summer training program contact one of the coaches.
Winona Area Running Camp
This running camp is a great introduction to running for new runners, and it begins our summer training. It is cheap, close, and short, yet it features some of the best running coaches in the area and provides great information. There is a session for 4th-8th graders and a session for 9th-12th graders.
MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL Running Camp - Grades 4-12 - June 15th-18th
Join in our 20th annual cross-country program led by area coaches and athletes. This four-day camp is perfect for novice and seasoned runners alike. Pasta Dinner Information
It has been a wonderful tradition in the program that parents have hosted pasta dinners on the evenings before races. Recently parents have often hosted both the boys and girls teams, but it could be broken up by gender. Also sometimes parents have grouped together to host a dinner with another family or two. If there are any questions or difficulties in signing up, you can just send me a message, and I can take care of it. Here is the link: Pasta Dinner Schedule
Email List
An email was sent out on Tuesday, July 29th, with some pre-season information. The idea is that it will be used for information sharing throughout the season. If you did not receive it and would like to get on the list, you can send an email to jed.reisetter@winona.k12.mn.us to be put on the list.
Winhawk App
Much our communication with athletes and families will comp through the Winhawk app.
