Please be sure to practice a little every day (I recommend 10-15 minutes)!
Remember: if you are having difficulty with something, the more time you spend working on it, the easier it will become. If you don't spend time on it, it will always be difficult for you.
Your lesson book comes with online resources, recordings and videos; head to SIOnline.alfred.com.
You will need your Sound Innovations lesson book to access these helpful resources!
Remember...as you start practicing your pass-off songs, you should also practice the other songs (and read the information) on the page to help you learn about the new concept.
Here are some helpful videos for tuning your instruments. You should probably ask your parents/guardians for help with this.
Please remember to move your pegs carefully and gently, so that you don't break a string. Only make small adjustments at a time, slowly work your way to the correct pitch(sound).
Below is a link to a youtube playlist that has several different videos. Everyone should watch the 1st video (Violin tuning tips) for a brief overview on how to tune, even though it is geared specifically for violin tuning, the basics are the same for viola and cello as well. The other videos on the playlist are the individual pitches that each string needs to match.
