General Course Information
Please see individual course pages for specific class expectations.
Homework
Students should expect to have a homework assignment each night. Assignments can include written assignments, reading, note taking, and reviewing material. Homework assignments will be checked for effort and completeness, so students should include all of their work on the homework paper; it should not be just a list of answers.
Homework assignments are due at the beginning of class each day; late assignments, with the exception of those that are late due to an excused absence, are not accepted for credit. Students are expected to come to see me for help if they have questions on their homework assignments that do not get addressed in class.
Textbook internet resource
Most of the student textbooks have publisher-supported Internet resources. These sites contain everything from hints for problems, to extra problems, to self-tests, to links to sites for further explanation.
Extra help
I will be available for help at least two afternoons per week, although I am around almost any afternoon. Please encourage your child to see me if he/she is having trouble understanding the material, has questions about homework problems, or has been absent.
Grading
Quarterly grades are based on a combination of tests, quizzes, projects, homework, classwork and any other information as indicated in the specific course descriptions.
