Be a part of a lively and growing, student-centered and education-centered drama program in a small high school setting.

Technical director needed to support our student technical crew. This position requires background knowledge in technical theatre (lights, sound, construction, run crew) but is also instructional in nature; daily supervision, mentoring, and teaching of students is a significant component. The educational nature of our program is important to us, so students (rather than adults) ultimately run the light and sound boards, move set, etc during performances. This is a paid position (with separate stipends for the fall and spring productions).

FALL PLAY

*Time frame: Approx. 8-week rehearsal period, mid-September through second week of Nov. (Performances Nov. 8-9)

*Time commitment: Approx. 4 rehearsals per week (M 4:00-6:00, W 4:00-7:00, Th 5:00-8:00, some Fridays 4:00-6:00/some Saturday mornings); daily during show week.

SPRING MUSICAL

*Time frame: Approx. 12-week rehearsal period, late November through first weekend of March (Performances Feb. 27-28, March 1-2)

*Time commitment: 5-6 rehearsals per week (rehearsals are all weekdays 2:45-5:00 PM and Saturday mornings 9:00-1:00); if preferred, set builds can take place after 5:00 or on weekends at TD’s discretion.
