Welcome to Mrs. Levine’s Kindergarten Corner!
Dear Kindergarten Students and Families,
Hello! My name is Mrs. Levine, and I am SO excited to be your teacher this school year! I have a lot of exciting things planned and have been busy getting everything ready. You are going to love our building and housekeeping areas, our games and puzzles, and the wonderful books that I can't wait to read together! You can check out more about the special things we do in kindergarten here.
Since you are new to kindergarten, I wanted to share a little bit about myself. This will be my tenth year teaching kindergarten at Romona; prior to joining district 39, I taught at the pre-kindergarten level for four years, while also working for Northwestern's Center for Talent Development. Before becoming a mommy to Aidan (18) and Farrah (15), I taught both fourth and fifth grade for eight years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family, including our furry four-legged member, Cannoli.
The first day of school is quickly approaching, and I can’t wait to meet and get to know all of my kindergarten friends! We will work together this year to learn and grow, and we'll of course have lots of fun too!
I'm looking forward to seeing you at the meet and greet on August 20th. You can find more information about this here. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer!
Warmly,
Mrs. Levine
