Welcome to Second Grade

 Dear Second Grader,

Hi! My name is Mrs. O’Brien. I am going to be your second

grade teacher. I hope you are spending the last few days enjoying

what’s left of your summer. I can’t wait to meet you and learn about

you.

This summer I went to Vermont, Massachusetts, and Michigan. I

was so thrilled to travel! Did you make any discoveries about

yourself? Did you explore any new places or ideas?

I am very excited to be teaching second grade this year. We will

be learning about many fascinating topics. Also, we will read lots of

interesting books, write, and increase our math skills.

We will learn and grow together!

The next few days I will be learning some new teaching ideas,

unpacking the classroom, and getting ready for your arrival. I hope

you are as enthusiastic as I am about starting school. See you soon!
