8th Grade English
Reading Entries 8th grade
Each month there are 5 reading entries due on the final Friday of the month. Some time will be given on Fridays to complete a portion of them in class and if that time is abused, 3 points will be deducted for each entry that time was given for.
Expectations:
Read a book of choice for 20 minutes (does not need to be consecutive when done outside of class)
Record:
Book Title
Page numbers read (p. 13-21)...page numbers should reflect 20 minutes of reading
Summary of reading in 3-5 quality sentences.
Thoughtful response. Please label the type of response you have used...one of each response type per month
Response type possiblities include:
-connection
-prediction
-question
-clarification
-comment
-see link for more ideas
-additional link for response ideas
When completed on a Google doc, the doc must be titled with the month it is completed for and stored in the shared folder Last Name, First Name (Cadotte) which would be found in the Shared With Me Drive initially, but can be moved to your Drive.

Storage Unit...A place to hold supplemental information used throughout the year.
Rorschach inkblot test --This is for "FUN" only and graded on participation. Part of our story relies on this test and it is helpful to understand what it is like! You only need to show me the blurb it gives you at the end. I won't even need to read it, just see that you have worked through it. You may have an alternate assignment if you wish (It will not be as fun)
