Approve Transfer of the Williams Inn All Alcohol Innkeeper's License

I’m writing in my capacity as counsel to the Olympia Companies regarding the application for transfer of the Williams Inn liquor license. At my request the BOS to included on its 3/27/17 meeting agenda the setting of the BOS/Local Licensing Authority hearing on the license transfer for this coming Monday, 4/10. I specifically advised Deb that the name of the transferee was going to be “Olympia Hotel Management, LLC”. The BOS set the hearing date and Deb thereafter arranged for the publication of the notice of the hearing in The Eagle. I wish to stress that everyone in Town Hall, helpfully, did exactly as I asked.

In the interim, my client has decided to use a special purpose entity, with a slightly different entity name, to be the licensee. The new entity name is “Olympia Hotel Management - Mass, LLC” (emphasis added).

In an abundance of caution, I’ve recommended to my client that we not proceed with the license transfer hearing this coming Monday (4/10) but, instead, I’m writing to ask that the BOS include on its 4/10/17 meeting agenda the setting of the BOS/Local Licensing Authority hearing on the license transfer for Monday, 4/24, using the new entity name.
