How do I check my child's current grade?

Use the district provided username and password. It was sent home at the beginning of the year. Additional copies can ONLY be obtained through the main office not through the teachers. Grades are updated weekly.

Can my child complete extra credit?

I offer extra credit opportunites almost weekly from passing additional lessons in iREADY to doing well in classroom games/work. Students are always allowed to turn in late/incomplete work for parital credit.

What can I do to best help my child stay organized?

Have your child login to their GOOGLE CLASSROOM pages. Teachers post agendas, assignments and study guides daily. Missing or Upcoming work can be seen in their "TO-DO" list on the left side of the screen. They can login to their Google Account on ANY device.

Please keep in mind that 6th grade is a big change and they no longer have a desk in which they can keep all of their books and materials. They no longer have the same teacher all day with them to help them reorganize and remind them at the end of the day their homework in all subjects and what they owe in those subjects. Every subject is with a different teacher, in a different room, at different times during the day. Some students will even be ending the day in their special subject classes. This is also the first year that they have science and social studies every day, so there will be an increase in the amount of time spent on homework each night.
