Good Morning William Floyd Middle School

Today is an A day

The lost and found in the cafeteria is overloaded with lost items.  At the end of the school day on Friday, October 31st all items will be collected and donated to a local shelter.  Encourage your child to look through the lost and found to claim their missing item

 Clubs meet from 3-4pm.  If your child stays after for a club expect them to be home some time after 4pm, closer to 5pm.  It is important that students let their parents know that they are staying after school for a club

General Announcements: 

• Harvest Dance Tickets are on sale during all lunch periods in your grade level office.  Tickets are 3 real dollars and 2 Colonial dollars.  Costumes are NOT allowed to be worn to school but you can change into a costume before the dance.  Masks are NOT allowed to be worn during the dance.

• Students can visit the Book Fair during all lunch period beginning Thursday, October 23rd and running through Thursday, October 30th

• Latin Dance meets in room 414

• Robotics is meeting today in room 403

• 8th Grade students council meets in room 410

• Honor Society is meeting today in room 407

• The Winter Musical is having an informational meeting today in the auditorium

• Kickline meets today in the auxiliary gym

• Art Club meets this afternoon in room 422

• School Store is meeting on Thursday in room 311

• The World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser flyers are coming home with all students.  Please consider selling a box of chocolate to help the PTO with their fundraiser.  Please return permission slips to the 6th grade office as soon as possible

• School picture day make up day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19th during periods 1-5 in the auxiliary gym.  This is for new students and who would like to schedule a make up.  Please call the 6th grade office at 631-874-5536 if you need to schedule a make up picture. 

• Don't forget to return your emergency card to the nurse.  It is important that all students have an emergency card on file

• Attention students: please remember to bring your ID badge and you must wear it during the school day                                                                                         

• Attention all students who are leaving their instruments in the hall...Please do not leave your instrument in the hall outside of your locker during the school day.  Instruments larger than a flute or clarinet that do not fit in your locker must be stored in the band or orchestra room.  Speak to your band or orchestra teacher if you have any questions about where you should you keep your locker

• Breakfast is available to every student, every morning to ALL STUDENTS.  Start your day with a good breakfast at William Floyd Middle School.  Stop by the breakfast cart to pick up breakfast

Any student who is interested in playing any sport during the school year must be registered on Family ID and cleared by the nurse

Today is an A day

 Clubs meet from 3-4pm.  If your child stays after for a club expect them to be home some time after 4pm, closer to 5pm.  It is important that students let their parents know that they are staying after school for a club

• Chamber Orchestra is meeting today after school

• Step Squad is having tryouts this afternoon in room 414.  This is for 7th and 8th grade only

• Literary Magazine and Newspaper club meets today in room 401.  All are welcome

• The Stony Brook University Science and Tech entry club is meeting today at 3pm in room 309.  This is for 7th and 8th graders only

• National Junior Honor Society is meeting on Wednesday, October 15th in room 407 at 3pm.  If you can't make the meeting, you must fill out a missed meeting form before 3pm on Wednesday!

• Science Fiction Club meets on Wednesday, October 15th in room 208
